The User

In order to understand how best to improve the experiences of international students during their stay in Canada, I had to understand the mind of international students. Even though I am an international student, I am no longer a new international student, so I began to conduct extensive research on my core target audience.

One of the important points that have come out of my communication with new international students is that they want to be prepared mentally for what living in Canada would be like. One way new international students can get ready for living and schooling in Canada is to know where they can access the important resources they would need during their time in Canada. I also narrowed down these resources to accommodation, transportation, mobile plans and banking plans. I have created user personas to put faces behind designs so that the users are the focus of every design decision.
